Why Glamping
While most can enjoy tent camping for a few days—it’s dirty, it’s hot and sweaty, and it takes a lot of effort! Plus, if you’re traveling to the Ozarks with your family for a camping trip, you’ll need to pack a lot of gear.
Luckily, there’s an alternative to the traditional camping experience for those of us who don’t necessarily want to go all-in on primitive lodging. Instead of sweating it out in a tent, you can enjoy overnight stays in nature with the luxuries of home—like running water, air conditioning, and a soft bed.
Glamping is a new option for those who want to enjoy nature with more modern day luxuries than a typical campsite.

What is Glamping?
Glamping, AKA “glamorous camping”, is a lodging option that’s similar to camping in some ways. Usually, glamping involves renting a tent-like structure that is set up by the owner on land located in nature. Inside a glamping tent, you’ll find things like:
- Air conditioning & heat
- Access to electricity
- Wi-fi
- Beds
- Towels & Bedding
- Furniture
- Appliances
- Everything you’d find in an AirBNB kitchen
Glamping tents often also have an outdoor shower or tub so that you can enjoy a new experience—bathing outdoors.
